How can we make the Town of DeWitt a better place for walkers, runners, and bikers?

The Town of DeWitt is working on the development of a pedestrian and bicycle plan. The process began in January of 2015 with a series of 10 public forums to gather information from the public about ways to make the Town of DeWitt more pedestrian and bicycle friendly. The forums introduced participants to background elements and guiding documents followed by an interactive discussion utilizing maps and other visual aids. The forums were a first step toward developing broad public support for future improvements to the Town’s bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.

Information gathered from these forums will be used to develop a Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan for the Town of DeWitt by identifying ways to make the Town safer and more user-friendly for pedestrians and cyclists. Town Board Member Kerin Rigney has been leading this effort in cooperation with a resident advisory committee.

We invite you to come to a forum and learn more. We can also schedule a separate meeting specifically for your group. Any questions can be directed to movingdewitt@townofdewitt.com.
