Photo470thumbnailPeople in Action (PIA), operating under the 501 (c) 3, Non-profit Organization Friends of DeWitt Parks and Recreation, is a community enrichment program that addresses the challenges faced by residents with limited resources. These programs are designed to meet the needs of children and adults whose primary language is something other than English. We strive to support academic growth and reduce student drop-out rate. 

We're back! The PIA after school program returns to the Klim Center on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

The People In Action (PIA) after school program is structured to combine tutoring, hands on learning, and recreational opportunities for residents in and around the Springfield Garden apartment complex. Activities include homework help, arts and crafts, games, and outside play (weather permitting). Program follows the Jamesville-DeWitt school district calendar. Space is limited.

Location: David Klim Center (49 Caton Drive)
Dates:        September 6, 2022 – June 22, 2023
Hours:       3:00 – 5:15pm
Grades:     K-6
Cost:          $10/month (per child)

Registration Information
Registration opens Monday, August 22 and can be done online at townofdewitt.recdesk.com or in person at the DeWitt Town Hall. You can also register at the Klim Center on Monday, August 22 from 1:30 – 3:30pm. Registration is done on a first come, first serve basis.

Required at Registration: Registration Form, COVID-19 Waiver, $10 Payment
