 2024 Yard Waste Schedule

(April-October Only)

Yard waste is collected on a Area schedule from April through October.
To ensure collection, set yard waste out the days indicated, and the material will be collected during the week.
Please do not put it out until your week. (Sunday)

Once the truck goes past they do not go back.
There are no special pick-ups.

Area 1 Schedule:

Week beginning June 2nd
Week beginning June 30th
Week beginning August 4th
Week beginning September 1st

 Area 2 Schedule:
Week beginning April 7th
Week beginning May 12th
Week beginning June 9th
Week beginning July 7th
Week beginning August 11th
Week beginning September 8th

Area 3 Schedule:
Week beginning April 14th
Week beginning May 19th
Week beginning June 16th
Week beginning July 14th
Week beginning August 18th
Week beginning September 15th

Area 4 Schedule:
Week beginning April 21st
Week beginning May 26th
Week beginning June 23rd
Week beginning July 21st

  • Place yard waste on lawn, off the road shoulder, parallel & adjacent to the curb line or edge of the road (max.10 feet in length)
  • Do not block fire hydrants, gas shutoffs, utility poles/boxes, sewer vents or drainage basins.**
  • Leave material in a pile. No bags.
  • Waste left by contractors will NOT be collected.
  • No Grass Clippings

The Town Highway Department collects yard and brush debris once each month from April through October. Yard and brush waste is the “woody” natural material from your property including cut pieces of trees, limbs and brush. This service is intended to provide homeowners an appropriate way to dispose of green waste, it is not intended to supplement or compete with private contractors.

Do not put the Brush debris in any type of bags or containers.  

Landscapers & Private Contractors are responsible to remove their own debris.



Leaf Collection (November & December only)
There is no set schedule 
The Highway Department will continuously patrol the neighborhoods for leaf piles.
Leaves only.
No bags.  
No co-mingled piles.
Rake leaves close to the edge of your lawn in a row.


 

** The Town is NOT responsible for repairs to utilities that are covered by debris.

Compliance: A violation of these rules affects your neighbors by creating a nuisance and an unsightly condition increasing costs to all taxpayers.
