TREE SERVICE

Please contact the Highway Department at (315) 437-8331 with any questions or concerns regarding trees in need of trimming/removal that are growing along the roadways.

Christmas Trees

Christmas Trees are recycled for Town of DeWitt residents.  Trees can be placed curbside after the Holidays.  They need to be free of ornaments and lights, and not in “bags”.  Crews pick up trees throughout the Town during the month of January.  There have been instances of trees getting buried and frozen into the snow banks, not to worry as these trees get picked up when they reappear in the spring!    OCRRA  (Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency) coordinates a Tree Recycling program as well. Contact them via the web or by calling (315) 453-2870 for their information
