Welcome to the Special Events page!
Every year the Town of DeWitt hosts a number of special events for all ages. Several events have been traditions in DeWitt for 20+ years while others, like the Youth Fishing Derby and Fall Festival, are recent additions to our yearly calendar. We are proud to announce that our newest event, the Valentine's Day Father/Daughter Dance, was a huge success and will be expanded to accommodate twice the number of participants next year!
Select an event from the list on the left for general information and event photos. Information on upcoming events can be found here or on the events calendar. If you have an idea for a new event or are interested in becoming an event sponsor, contact Megan Ball at (315) 446-3910 x 127 or email@example.com.
Howling Hayride has Successful Final Year
After 24 years of terrifying its many visitors, the Howling Hayride closed with record crowds on Friday and Saturday, October 24 and 25. Thank you to everyone that came out to support the final year of this wonderful event. While we are sad to see the Hayride go, we are excited at the prospect of offering a new haunted event in 2015. Be sure to check back here and in the Town Brochure for future updates.
Holiday Lighting Toy Drop Off
The Holiday Lighting Festivities will be a drop off location for Toys For Tots. Please bring new, unwrapped toys to donate to this great cause. Toys can also be dropped off at the Recreation Office during regular business hours from November 3 - December 5. Call (315) 446-9250 x 9 for more information.
