Welcome to the Special Events page!
Every year the Town of DeWitt hosts a number of special events for all ages. Several events have been traditions in DeWitt for 20+ years while others, like the Youth Fishing Derby and Fall Festival, are recent additions to our yearly calendar. We are proud to announce that our newest event, the Valentine's Day Father/Daughter Dance, was a huge success and will be expanded to accommodate twice the number of participants next year!
Select an event from the list on the left for general information and event photos. Information on upcoming events can be found here or on the events calendar. If you have an idea for a new event or are interested in becoming an event sponsor, contact Megan Ball at (315) 446-3910 x 127 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Howling Hayride Enters Final Year
After 24 years of terrifying its many visitors, the Howling Hayride is saying good-bye. Make sure you don’t miss your last chance to take that frightening ride through the woods of Maxwell Park, make your way through the Haunted House of Horrors, and give the Haunted Maze a try. Once you survive all that, enjoy a free doughnut and cider under the front pavilion.
This is the best Halloween deal in town! Advance sale tickets are only $6.50! Visit the DeWitt Recreation Office by October 18th to purchase yours today. Tickets include the hayride, house of horrors, maze, cider and a doughnut! Tickets are $8.00 at the gate. Children 5 and under are free. Group rates are available.
Be sure to check back next fall for an all new haunted event!
