Sex offenders are categorized into three (3) levels:
Level 1 is defined as “Low Risk.”
Level 2 is defined as “Medium Risk.”
Level 3 is defined as “High Risk.”

You can obtain information regarding sex offenders RESIDING WITHIN THE TOWN OF DeWITT ONLY, and who are required to register in New York State by:

1.      Contact the New York State Sex Offender Registry at 1-800-262-3257.   You will need the name of the offender and one of the following:

      A.     An exact address.
B.     A correct date of birth.
C.     A driver’s license number.
D.     A social security number.

2.      The New York State Online Sex Offender Search Link (for Level 2 & 3 only.)

3.      If the sex offender resides within the TOWN OF DEWITT, you may contact the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Abused Persons Unit at 1-315-435-3092 (Level 2 and 3 only.)
