Town of DeWitt Senior Flu Shots- 2011

Older adults are at higher risk of developing complications from the flu. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, older adults and people with diabetes or heart, lung or kidney disease should receive an influenza vaccine yearly and a pneumonia shot every 5-7 years.  DeWitt Recreation Senior Program and the Regional Healthcare will offer four clinics. These are the only flu clinics the Town will offer. For other locations, contact the Onondaga County Health Department at 435-2000.

NOTE: Seniors must bring all insurance cards, not just your Medicare card. Cost is covered in full by Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans. Excellus Medicare requires that you get the vaccine from your own physician.
