RECREATION COMMISSION

The operation of the Parks & Recreation Department is guided by a seven-member Recreation Commission. The Commission generally meets the 3rd Monday of each month in the Recreation Office in Town Hall at 7PM. Commission meetings are open to the public. It is recommended that you check the calendar on this website or call the Recreation Office (446-9250 ext 9) to confirm meeting dates and times before attending. Commission members are volunteers from the community and are appointed to seven-year terms by the Town Board. If you are interested in being considered for a commission appointment, send a brief resume to the Director of Parks & Recreation or the Town Supervisor. The Commission welcomes input from the community. You may contact any of the Commissioners using the link below or write to:

Commission Mission Statement:
To support the mission of the Town of DeWitt Parks and Recreation Department: “provide DeWitt residents with comprehensive programs, activities, and facilities that enhance quality of life and to be responsible stewards of DeWitt’s valuable natural, historic, and cultural resources.”
