They may be filled out in advance or in our office. Please remember: DO NOT SIGN THE APPLICATION until you are in the office in front of the agent who will process it.
2. Do my children have to appear in person for their passports? Yes, all individuals now have to be present when applying, regardless of age.
3. How much does a passport cost? Age 16 and over: $97.00 ($67.00 to the Department of State and $30.00 to the Town of DeWitt) Under age 16: $82.00 ($52.00 to the Department of State and $30.00 to the Town of DeWitt)
Either cash or a separate check is needed for payment to the Town of Dewitt.
4. Can I renew my passport by mail? Yes, under some circumstances. The forms for mail renewal are available at the Town Clerk’s Office. The fee a mail renewal is $67.00.
5. How long does it take to receive my passport once I apply? Routine service can take up to six weeks for the receipt of the passport. Expedited service (within 2 weeks) is available for an additional fee of $60.00 per application plus the cost of 2-way overnight delivery.
