-a community enrichment program addresses the challenges faced by residents with limited resources-operates under the 501(c)3, Non-profit Organization "The Friends of DeWitt Parks and Recreation". Our programs run out of the David G. Klim Learning and Recreation Center, conveniently located to the residents in and around Springfield Gardens Apartments. These programs are designed to meet the needs of children and adults whose primary language is other than English, support academic growth, and reduce student drop-out rate. Springfield Gardens has become a preferred location for refugees immigrating to the US particularly from war torn European and Middle Eastern countries.
These programs are open to anyone residing within the Town and are very affordable. Please contact us for more information.
Due to the success of our programs we have a need to expand our facility. Anybody wishing to contribute to this most worthy cause may contact us. recreation@townofdewitt.com
