Dewitt Residents Gather in Opposition of the Community Grid
Who: Save81 and key town of Dewitt stakeholders including Supervisor Ed Michalenko, Deputy Supervisor Kerry Mannion, and Town Board Member Joe Chiarenza
What: Save81 and local residents will provide an update on the DOT’s Draft Environmental Impact Analysis and give a presentation of data supporting the present location of I-81
Where: Dewitt Town Hall (Front Lawn), 5400 Butternut Drive East Syracuse, NY 13057
When: Friday, Oct 6th at 4:30 pm
Why: The economic future of Central New York is at stake and the DOT has not provided hard facts to help us make an educated decision. We must demand this information for the majority of our residents and elected officials who are in opposition of the community grid alternative.
Save81.org is a diverse coalition of concerned citizens, elected officials, employers, unions, and community groups that believe any plan to rehabilitate the aging portions of I-81 must preserve the highway’s current traffic pattern and alignment through our region, particularly the stretch of I-81 that runs through and connects our community with Downtown Syracuse.
