NATURE PROGRAMMING

If you have an interest in nature and live close to the Town of DeWitt, you are in luck.  The Town owns 10 public parks with over 225 acres of land combined, maintains walking paths and trails, stocks a catch-and-release bluegill/bass pond, and offers easy access to Butternut Creek for fishing or canoe access.  And non of this access costs you and additional dime.

In the modern era of technology, children and adults are becoming less aware of the world in which we live; as a result, the environment suffers.  I am a recent graduate of SUNY-ESF and am coordinating many new opportunities for individuals to cherish this incredible gem.  While we are all pinching pennies it is comforting to know that there is a world of opportunity right outside our own back doors chock full of entertainment and educational value.

Whether you are young or old - a gardener, artist, fisher, birder - like to walk, hike, draw, sit or run - we have a program just for you.
