CHILD DIGITAL FINGERPRINT IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM
This innovative program captures digital images of the child’s fingerprints, facial photo, and records all personal information onto a floppy disk. The disk is given to parents and in the event of a child abduction or missing child – parents provide law enforcement with the identification kit. This allows law enforcement to disseminate the child’s information quickly in situations where time is of the essence.
The program is offered year round at community safety events, Canal Day, after-school programs, and every Thursday afternoon at DeWitt Police Department.
