Project Mission Statement
The Willis Carrier Recreation Center (Carrier Park) is planned to be the leading all-inclusive multi-sports and wellness complex designed for the use and enjoyment of the residents of Central New York. The Town of DeWitt, in conjunction with the members of the Carrier Park Project, recognizes the need for an outdoor multi-sports facility within the Central New York community. Carrier Park will be developed to meet the needs of all youth players and will feature handicap accessible fields as well as an accessible playground. When completed, Carrier Park will provide our community with an all-inclusive playground, tennis court, basketball court, picnic pavilion, baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, and football fields, and a nature walking trail.
- Provide advanced level athletic fields that will allow for tournament level competitions in baseball, soccer, and lacrosse.
- Provide fully accessible fields that will enable the Syracuse Challenger League to have a permanent home field.
- Provide a centrally located park for Central New York families to enjoy walking, picnicking, and a handicap accessible playground.
